I’m Brian Knox, Ph.D., CPA. I’m an accounting professor at Boise State University. I founded Numerical Advantage LLC to share accounting knowledge beyond the university: to people like you.

Our Services

  • Federal and state tax returns for individuals.

    We bill for our services with a flat fee.

    • $500 for Form 1040: individual/family taxes.

      • Includes any required schedules and forms, except Schedule C (see below).

      • Includes state and local returns, as applicable.

    • $250 for Schedule C: business activity attached to Form 1040 (often a sole proprietorship).

      • No charge for an incidental or negligible Schedule C. Contact us or more details.

      • If your books are not yet in order, we can help prepare your books for tax filing (see Accounting services below).

    Every return is CPA-prepared. All states covered.

    • C-Corps

    • S-Corps

    • LLCs (using Form 1040 or other forms)

    We bill for our services with a flat fee: $1,500 for Form 1120 (Corporations) or Form 1065 (Partnerships).

    Every return is CPA-prepared. All states covered.

We run a lean shop.

You’re paying for the value we bring, not our overhead.

The owner is an experienced CPA (since 2013) with expertise to serve our clients’ needs.

But that doesn’t mean our rates are out of reach.

  • The owner is also an accounting professor at Boise State University

  • All our business is run remotely (e.g., Zoom meetings, phone calls, and secure document portals).

  • We have a small team with only the most vital personnel.

With us, you aren’t paying for fluff.
